Here at Walnut Ridge Farm we realize how hard it can be to find an all around horse. One that shows, trail rides, good for beginners, kids, adults, drives, is fun for an advanced rider, can jump, and so on. |
| In our many years of being around all types of breeds we have found the Haflinger to be the true all around horse. They range in size from 13 hands to 15 hands and always come in a beautiful Palomino or Chestnut color with flaxen mane and tails that are long and thick. |

These wonderful horses are strong enough to handle any sized adult on rides or pulling a buggy, plus are calm and gentle enough for kids. They love attention and have a dog like personality. They are very long lived being able to work or be ridden into their 30s. |
| This breed originates in Austria and was developed to be a hardy mountain horse that has endurance to go all day and be surefooted on the steep mountain terrain. |

Haflingers are willing and want to please their owners. They will work hard all day and as soon as they are turned out to pasture it is not unusual for them to follow you right back to the gate as if to say "are you sure you don't need my help anymore". They don't get sour or turn bitter when it comes to working like some breeds. |
